About me: I’ve been involved in the translation & language world since 2000, mostly on the technical and media side. As a former musician I’ve been recording voice and music for (deep breath!) almost forty years! So if you need support for your media language projects I can probably help.
As multi-media becomes increasingly important in marketing and in promoting today’s businesses there has been an increasing demand for media services. Below are some of the services I can provide for your company.
Subtitles:
I can create subtitles and captions in any language, including right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Urdu, Dari and Farsi. These can either be for DVD or web video. I can re-author DVDs to include switchable subtitles and language menus. Please see my Subtitles page for more details.
Audio Recording:
I can provide high quality recordings, made in my own studio, in English and most other languages. These can be simple recording of information (for brochures, manuals, leaflets) or ‘voice-overs’ for video. Please see my Voice Recordings page for more details.
Other Services
I’ve also had considerable experience handling HTML and XML for text extraction and translation, in the editing of Translation Memory and Glossaries and in using Trados/SDL to extract text for translation from a myriad of formats. Now, from September 2011, I am offering my services as a freelance translation consultant. I live in Manila, Philippines, but have a local U.K. number and an office in the U.K. I’m also available on Skype, so don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your project requirement.
